Save the Planet and Some Coin With Your Reusable Cup

Did you know that Australians go through roughly 1 billion disposable cups in one year? That’s about 2.7 million coffee cups per day! This horrifying figure really shocked us and has reinforced just how important it is to be more conscious of our consumption and to treat our environment with more care. That’s why we’re huge fans of using reusable cups.

We’ve spoken to a lot of people about why they don’t carry a reusable cup around with them and the most common answer is “convenience”. It’s extremely convenient to just grab a takeaway coffee in a paper cup. With a paper cup, you don’t have to remember to pop it in your bag, carry it around all day with you and then wash it when you get home. But at what cost to our planet?

We’re very much coffee lovers here at Upcycle Studio and we want to encourage more people to say no to disposable cups.
