So what is Jute...

Jute is becoming very popular as consumers demand greener, sustainable, eco-friendly products. It can be grown without the need to use pesticides or fertilisers. Jute is bio-degradable, compostable and recyclable. It only takes six months to grow and produces oxygen for our planet at the same time.
Inspiration for the Saraswati Rug.
In so many parts of India in Saraswati (Hindu Goddess) honour marks the day by helping young children learn how to write the letters of the alphabet on that day.
Upcycle Studio selected the name Saraswati because it represents the cause of Goodweave. Each rug that is purchased goes towards helping and educating young children.
All of our rugs have been handpicked by us; we chose them to celebrate talented craftsmanship and to preserve the traditional skills used to create them. With its ocean blues and sandy colour, the Saraswati rug is a timeless piece and the perfect addition to any home.
