Rosewood & Fig Beeswax Wraps
Introducing Rosewood and Fig Beeswax Wraps: The Sustainable and Stylish Alternative for Food Preservation
Why Beeswax Wraps?
Replace plastic wrap in your kitchen with a beautiful and 100% natural product that keeps your food fresh. They are easy to seal, long-lasting and hygienic.
These gorgeous cotton fabrics are coated in beeswax and pine tree resin to help them stick and add an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal protection to your food. It also gives them a beautiful smell. We then add organic coconut oil to help soften the wrap to mould what you are sealing. These 100% natural wraps are a step closer to a healthier kitchen and a healthier planet.
We aim to hand-make a high-quality product with minimal environmental impact and waste.
The pure bee wax is from our bee hives and is also sourced from other local beekeepers.
What will you get;
This kit includes 4 sizes that are tried and tested to suit all your kitchen storage needs. All are beautifully packaged in a box for storage.
Round - 28cm x 28cm Small - 20cm x 20cm Medium - 30cm x 30cm Large - 35cm x 35cm
Choose from the following beautiful designs:
- Bees & Blooms Collection
- Bright & Beautiful Collection
- Nanna Petals Collection
- Native Bird Collection
How to Use;
For first-time use, scrunch the wrap a few times into a ball, this activates the beeswax, making it sticky. Then each time with use, scrunch the wrap into a ball and hold it in your hands for a moment to warm. This warmth softens the wrap and makes it easy to mould what you’re covering. Apply the wrap to what you are covering and seal by pressing with your fingertips and palms. Any loose edges can be pressed to other parts of the wrap.
They can be used in your fridge, freezer or pantry. Whether it’s leftovers in dishes, wrapping veggies, or a bunch of herbs, half an avocado or a piece of pumpkin. There is a variety of sizes to suit all your needs. You can wrap a bowl of leftover salad with the circular wrap or a block of cheese, butter, or brie with the small wrap. Maybe it's a freshly made loaf of bread in the large wrap or sandwiches & snacks for school wrapped and staying fresh.
Do not use with meat or citrus.
Easy Care, Clean & Store;
As they are naturally antibacterial they just need soapy cold water and your dishcloth, followed by a rinse in cold water. Do not wash in hot water as it will melt and remove the beeswax. Also avoid strong detergents. Your wraps can drip dry on your dish rack or be patted dry with a tea towel. Do not wash your wraps in the dishwasher or use them in the microwave as the heat will melt the beeswax causing them to lose their stick. Generally foods don’t stain the wraps unless they are a strong colour such as beetroot or turmeric. Fold and store in their box or roll and slide into your drawer.
Enjoy being plastic-free and & a step closer to a healthier planet.
